Message From The President

It’s been a privilege to serve as President of the Board for the Huronia
Community Foundation for 2024/25. At its core, HCF is a volunteer-driven
charity created BY and FOR our local community. John Gammell was the
founding President and driving force behind the creation of HCF back
in 2000. The Foundation started with one fund, the Len Self Youth Fund,
valued at $10,000. Fast forward twenty-five years to March 2025, HCF now
holds over 80 funds valued at over $3.6 million.

For our 25th anniversary celebration this year, HCF unveiled a new logo and
tag line: Give Today - Build Our Tomorrows. We also refreshed the HCF
website, so check out our new look! We hosted a community gathering to
            celebrate HCF’s legacy:

              • 25 years of empowering charities with grants
              • 25 years of connecting donors to causes they care about
              • 25 years of making a positive impact on local needs

HCF has gone from ONE person’s idea 25 years ago, to
an organization that supports multiple local charities
who are making a difference in all sectors of our
community whether it’s the environment, arts and
culture, social and health services, or education.

Imagine what will be achieved by HCF in the next
            25 years!

Thank you to fellow board members, staff, volunteers,
donors and grantees. It has truly been a pleasure
and a privilege to work with all of you. It’s because
of caring individuals like all of you, sharing their best
with others and believing in a better tomorrow that
HCF’s vision of a stronger more vibrant community
            can be realized.

            Susan Lalonde Rankin
            President
            Huronia Community Foundation
